From Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicines are natural plants used to treat and prevent illness. From the prehistoric times the use of these herbal medicines existed and it is also used nowadays by the majority of the world's population. Herbal medicines, as well as acupuncture, is used as primary health care in the Far East since 2 milleniums.
Herbs are prepared mainly as teas, but drugs are made mainly of natural plants.

There are 2 kinds of herbal medicines: those who have powerful action, like the Digitalis and Belladonna, and those with gentle action, like the camomille, mint and many more.
Gentle action does not mean, though, that these types of herbs are more or less inaffective, just that these do not act so rapidly. Another meaning of the gentle action means, that these plants do not have toxic effects. |
The use of herbal medicine has increased dramatically in the United States in the past decade. They can be fouind in supermarkets and pharmacies.
To Folk Music and Song
Folk music is an oral collective creation and art, by excellence. In conformity with the performing manner it can be detached into two categories: vocal and instrumental. They can be performed by individuals or by groups.
 The musical folklore knows three genders: lyrical, dramatic and epic. The lyrical gender includes: doina, the songs of wedding and naturally of lament and work. The dramatic gender: the puppeteers, the evening sittings of the village women, the rain makers. The epic gender: the ballads the nuptial the funeral and the old age songs, exorcism. The folklore of the winter season, ccasioned by Christmas and the New Year, is represented by mask games and wish-making. The carol is one of the primeval musical gender, partly practiced by the church, with a rich profane content. Through the carol, wishes of thriving and happiness are addressed especially by groups of children or young people, sometimes accompanied by musical instruments. The mask games have a strong magic substratum, lost in the long runs preserved only as a musical ritual.
The ballad, also called the old-age song, is sung on the occasion of gatherings, before an audience; it is known a wide range around 300 themes. The pastoral ballad ''Miorita'' is the masterpiece of the gender. Doina features a musical style of a lyrical nature, which conveys feelings of sadness, longing, nostalgia and it is so widely spread that it is often mistaken with the proper one.
The nuptial song and dance is very varied: vocal pieces - the song of the bride, of the dawn, of the groom, of the mother-in-law; instrumental pieces- dance, marches, the basil, the dance of the bride, etc.
The funeral folklore includes individual songs of lament and group - the down and the fit-tree. The song of the dawn it is very old and it is performed by women at the windows of the deported. The folklore genders related to no special occasion on: the doina and the ballads.
Romanian traditional melody is characterized by diversity. The country has six large culture areas which correspond to important historical provinces, each one characterized by relatively different tune and interpretations, although the basis of their tune is unified in character, with regional styles based on a few shared structural elements.
